Kirei sabi

The tea ceremony of the Edo period warlord Kobori Enshu is now known as ‘kirei sabi’ and continues as the Enshu school. Enshu studied waka poetry and the calligraphy of Fujiwara no Teika, and incorporated the aesthetic of dynastic culture into the tea ceremony.
